About Mel
"Prepare to step into the world of Mel Gama,
a world where you can escape reality to the realm of fantasy, a world where mermaids, angels and
faeries truly exist; a world where creativity
and artistry abound. Mel Gama was born on February 3,1962 in Rio de Janeiro. She is the daugther of Romualdo Gama Filho ( 1980) and Laysi de Souza Campos ( 2008). She visualized a new world, encouraged by her husband Alvaro
Ennes. Very romantic and always in love with angels and fairies, she awoke to the art of photo-manipulation. A world of dreams and fantasy opened to her eyes and, in her charming way, Mel delights us all with a journey into her imagination. Mel is Spiritualist and follows Allan Kardec´s Doctrine. She is self-taught and changes dreams into art. Her work can be seen in her digital gallery. She is a photo artist which means she uses her computer as a tool to achieve the final results, along with Photoshop and a lot of love and care to make the details and they´re unique and individual - some of them with acrylic textures. The finesse with which Mel wields this tool can only be compared to that of a magician as the worlds and moments she creates are so real and tangible that one cannot help but to get lost in the vision she creates. All images are printed in Giclée - an invented name for
the process of making fine art prints from a digital source
by using ink-jet printing. The intent of that name was to
distinguish commonly known industrial "Iris proofs" from
the type of fine art prints that artists were producing on
those same types of printers.
